Cebu: Sirao Flower Farm x Temple of Leah

Here are some of the newest attraction that you can visit in the queen city of the south. The very instagramable Sirao Flower Farm, and the "Greece feels" Temple of Leah. Both are located, less than an hour away from the busy streets of the city.

How To Get There

The farm and the temple are located in the northern part of the city and sits on a higher part of Cebu. To get here, you can hire a "habal-habal" or rent a private vehicle for large groups.

  • From downtown Cebu, specifically Fuente Osmeña, ride a jeep to JY square in Lahug.
  • Ask around what number/code of the jeep that will make a stop to JY square.
  • In JY square there are friendly "habal-habal" drivers that will offer you their services. They'll immediately approach you if you have a selfie stick.
  • Their rate usually starts P400 per person for a round-trip service for Sirao Farms and Temple of Leah.

On a habal-habal, the ride is less than an hour. As you get closer, the temperature drops a little. There are many flower farms in Sirao owned and maintained by different owners. So each farm have their own decorations, like the windmill seen on many photos online, and has an entrance fee so if you have a specific farm you want to visit, tell the habal-habal driver to get you there.

Entrance fee is P50 per person for tourists, and P150 for professional photographers. Most flowers you will see in Sirao is the Celosia flower that has different shades of red and yellow. The farm opens from 9am to 5 pm.

The Temple of Leah or even referred to as 'Taj Mahal of Cebu', is closer to the city and is around 20 minutes away from the flower farm. The temple was constructed by the owner of a motel empire in Cebu, as a symbol of love to his late wife. The temple gives a glimpse of a Greek structure and boast a beautiful view of the city. Entrance fee is P50 per person by the way.
